Meditation

In addition to my massage therapy practice I will be hosting a weekly meditation group called AM:AM (Annapolis Mindfullness : Awareness Meditation) in the tranquil environment of Ridgely Retreat’s Treehouse studio. As of June 2008 we will be meeting on Tuesday nights from 8:00pm – 9:00pm. Please call Ridgely Retreat before coming out to make sure that the group is meeting on that particular Tuesday.

I have been a regular member of the Baltimore Shambhala Meditation Center for many years. The Shambhala path is a way to practice a secular form of mindfulness-awareness meditation that enables us to look precisely at our state of mind without trying to alter it. I believe that being a regular practitioner of mindfulness-awareness meditation and being part of a supportive meditation community has greatly helped in all aspects of my life, especially in the ability to be more fully present in every moment.
