My Mission is to offer a safe and consistent communal space in which the people of the greater Annapolis metropolitan area can come and sit in mindfulness-awareness meditation, participate in contemplative practice, study, and socialize with like hearted and like minded individuals. This form of meditation is secular path that is practiced by people of all religions and backgrounds.

I am a regular practitioner of Shambhala meditation which is also called mindfulness - awareness meditation. I will be hosting the weekly sitting on Tuesday nights from 8:00 -9:00 pm in the Treehouse Studio at Ridgely Retreat located in West Annapolis.

At 8:00 the sitting will consist of a silent 15-30 minute period of mindfulness awareness meditation that will begin promptly at 8:00 pm. Please observe silence once in the studio. After the sitting there may be a talk and discussion. There is no cost for the weekly sitting, but donations are welcomed and appreciated for the expenses related to equipment, food, and printed materials. All are welcome and encouraged to come practice with us. If you physically can’t sit on a cushion don’t worry we will have chairs available.

Meditation instruction is offered for anyone who wishes to learn more about the practice of mindfulness-awareness meditation as well as to share their experience with a well seasoned meditator.

The form of meditation taught and practiced in AM:AM is best discovered by experiencing it first hand. Also as you sit with us you will be encouraged to create a daily practice at home and may want to purchase a meditation cushion like the ones that you will be using at AM:AM. When you are ready to take that step in your practice cushions will be available at samadhi cushions.

There will also be weekly announcements about the intensive programs offered at the Baltimore and Washington Shambhala Centers that can deepen your practice.
